Girls Got The Blues
“Girls Got The Blues” is an All-Star, female blues band. This project was realized in 2012 by Lara Price. Lara came across an article that revealed having "girl time" is good for your health! The music business is a male dominated industry.Lara wanted to find other women in the business, and break down stereo types that women can't play or work together. An all female band is nothing new, but to Lara Price the experince to play with all women was irresitable. It was an opportunity for "ultimate girl time"!

When these musicians aren’t busy touring with international headliners, teaching music, or tending to their own projects, they come together to produce a magical on stage journey. The "Girls Got The Blues" team has featured the talents of guitar players; Laura Chavez and Gigi Amos, bass players; Ruth Davies and Ariane Cap, sax players/vocalists; Nancy Wright and Dolly Rappaport, keyboard players/vocalists Kathy Tejcka and Janice Maxie Reid, drummer Robin Roth, vocalists Pam Hawkins, Annie Sampson, back-up vocalists The Sweet Nectar:Sue McCracklin, Maureen Smith, and band leader, Lara Price.
